Last weekend, Jur and Cor travelled to Krakow again, and we were able to deliver many relief goods. We brought a large number of duvets, fire extinguishers, some toys left over from the bazaar, several rollators and wheelchairs, as well as kitchen supplies (pots, plastic plates and cutlery) and even a washing machine.

This trip we travelled together with a group from the church De Fontein, and they also brought many shelving units. We set these up at Team Krakow, which helps them enormously with sorting and storing everything that comes in and goes out again. We also helped load one of the transports, and I find it wonderful to see that items we collected from church members in Nijkerk on Tuesday are already on their way to Ukraine!

We almost always take one or more bales of newly purchased underwear and socks with us, and this time there were also two boxes of thermal socks. These were immediately sent on transport for the soldiers. We heard that they are extremely important right now — the scenes in the trenches resemble those of the First World War… it is so cold that toes are freezing and have to be amputated. So if you would like to buy something to support our work, thermal socks are very welcome. Marieke and Aalt will take them with us on our next trip in two weeks.
